Our Vet Nurses
We welcomed Emily as a vet nurse trainee in 2012. Her enthusiastic outlook to her studies and duties sees her kicking off a great start to her vet nursing studies. A country girl to the bone, Emily’s rural background has given her the great experience of being around lots of animals. Her home is truly a pet’s paradise where five dogs, a cat, horse and even some fish capture her affections. With a dedicated approach, Emily has been a great addition to the clinic. Away from work, she enjoys working with her Dad on their 3000 acre cropping and livestock property and helping out with activities at her church where she has volunteered as a youth leader.
Lauren joined the clinic as a Tafe student in 2012 studying her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing, where she then went on to become full time in 2013. Lauren has a great love for all animals, but particularly has a special spot for dogs and rats. Lauren currently has two Labradors, and a rat named Maisy. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her loved ones and enjoys activities such as fishing, boxing and kicking back watching the footy. Lauren says she thoroughly enjoys working with the team at DMVS and feels great joy and for fullness when nursing sick animals back to health.
Kirsten started at DMVS at the start of 2016 while completing her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing. Kirsten secured a full time position with us in November 2016. Since she was 10 years old she has wanted to become a veterinary nurse, she loves all animals with a soft spot for horses and dogs. Kirsten has a border collie and 3 Friesian horses of her own. Kirsten owns Onyx Park Friesian Horses, a horse stud in Dubbo and she is very passionate about riding and breeding horses. Her goals include working as a vet nurse and also representing Australia in Equestrian Dressage at an international level.
